We gathered at the meeting point with loads of vehi-cles and visitors. We slotted the visitors in amongst the members. Pretty soon we started a slow crawl up and down a section of a powerlines track driving over plenty of rocks.

After a few turns we arrived at a spot for morning tea. When we continued we found a few muddy pud-dles and a plantation. The convoy was learning about convoy procedures with a turn being missed but all was resolved quickly. Lunch took place on a pictur-esque boulder.

Next came a gnarly section of the track with boul-ders and ruts. Everyone assisted each other to make it through the difficult sections. Amy (visitor) had to take a chicken track at one point as her car had lim-ited clearance. Unfortunately Vu’s wife became car sick resulting in them leaving the convoy early.

It was 13 degrees all day and the forest was beautiful with enormous grass trees growing pro-lifically there. The track then produced more rocks, scratchy sections, detours around fallen logs, ruts, tight corners and muddy puddles one of which caught Markus. Alan snatched him out. Some of the convoy headed home, some went straight to the tavern and some went to the Prisoner of War Camp which was surrounded by wattles in flower. On our way to the tavern an echidna was spotted crossing the road. We aired up then went to the Jarrahdale Tavern for a lovely pub meal.

Thank you to Markus and Andrea for a great day, everyone seemed to enjoy the adventure.
